Little Pox

So this little man is dealing with the chicken pox like a pro- it doesn't seem to be bothering him one bit. Maybe it's me, keeping him cool and applying the camomile lotion who knows but bless him....it's all started to fade now and I'm just praying he doesn't get a Lurgy from Henry or James... He's now coughing his guts up.... Lucky I seem to be made of

Sterner stuff!

Doby Day

With Henry being super unwell today, a temperature of 42 degrees in the night, very clingy and waiting for the out of hours Dr to call back what with Jake fighting the pox and getting grumpy with his teeth and also wanting attention  it's always a relief to have some adult company and helping hand while James is working....

Nanny Val bless her visits weekly and insists she helps with anything she can. So, reluctance aside I let her get on with a heap full of ironing. She's real old fashioned with her laundry and makes a bloody good job of it too. Folds like a pro and irons like a genius! She also helped me pack up some more photo frames while the boys slept..

Abigail's Family Party

Abigail turned 12 on Friday and per tradition we were invited over for a get together.

Abigail looked lovely in her dress and curly hair.....we can't believe she's 12! Growing up far too fast.

Henry as always followed William around, threw some tantrums (especially when it came to the birthday cake and he wanted to blow the candles out), ran round like a loony and had a crazy painful accident involving his ear and the corner of the coffee table. I was changing Jake in another room at the time but as soon as I heard the cry I knew it was bad! Frozen peas, neurofen, cuddles and scoffing two cupcakes seemed to do the trick although it bruised and bled instantly. Poor soul he's always in the wars. And Jake well he now has the chicken pox....awesome!  

That aside we had a lovely time and enjoy spending it with this clan! Xx

Pink Mist

After a lazy morning and a nice long bath I headed up to Shepards Bush to meet my friend Jude. She had tickets for a play called Pink Mist and thought I'd be interested in it as it was to do with Three lads joining the army and going to Afghanistan.

"Best friends Arthur, Hads and Taff were barely out of their teens when they were deployed to Afghanistan. Returning to the women in their lives who must now share the physical and psychological aftershocks of their service, they find their journey home is their greatest battle".

It was a fantastic tear jerking story and of course only reminded me of one person.....my brother. The acting was superb especially for an opening night no mistakes just pure perfection. 

After we found a pub and caught up properly over a glass of red.....By the time I got home James had picked up the boys and they were both in bed. We got time to catch up and I picked us up a cheeky miso soup on the way back from the station :-)

Date night

We didn't take any pictures but we did get a night off! I picked Henry up from nursery after his nap time and took him and Jake down to mums, dropped them there and headed home. James and I headed off to his favourite curry house Tamasha, few drinks, nice food, walked some of it off and a full nights sleep. Lovely Jubbly! :)

Catch up Wednesday's

After dropping Henry off to nursery my NCT friend Beth came over to meet Jake and a catch up. I had a 12 coffee meet with my friend Pam too at the Lavender House of which I got there a whole 45mins early because I was an hour ahead of myself!!! Doh! Needless to say Jake slept while I enjoyed a latte in the peace :)

I then popped to the clinic with Jake to get him routinely weighed and this little bruiser is coming up 16lbs 11oz!! And doing really well according to the HV- I could have told her that :) 

By the time I got home James was back and showing a removal guy round for a quote then it was time to fetch Henry. Where did the day go?! really enjoyed it and walked a lot which is always refreshing! 

Jake fell asleep on Pam.... She loved it xx
