James drew Dad a diagram as eager to get it up so Henry can enjoy the run around.
Dad came off his night shift, picked some bits up from Tool Station that James didn't have and got started around 11. I had Henry down for his morning nap so I was able to start off helping. It was just like old times when I used to help Dad with his DIY and take trips to the hardware shops with him :).
After managing to get the first part of the fence up Henry woke. After that Dad pretty much ended up doing it himself.I let Henry have a run around but it was Becoming apparent he was a tad in the way!
Henry was so inquisitive and eager to copy what dad was doing but after a few attempts of picking up the saw and sitting in the bolt glue resin enough was enough! I had to use food and TV as bribery tactics to keep him indoors!
With no luck of getting a tired grumpy and mostly bored Henry to sleep on the 3rd attempt I gave in and got on with dinner whilst he played, what I thought was quietly, pouring his squeezy yogurt all over his chair!
Dad finished around 4.30 and by that time mum had come home from work. We all tidied up the patio area and got Henrys car out. He loved running around in the new secure space but was no fool to the gate! He knows it's there and knows what needs to happen to get through it! Nothing gets passed this kid!
Dad did a wonderful job and we can't thank him enough! Now we can leave the doors open knowing Henry can run around and not fall in the pond!!
Thanks so much dad your the best xxxxxx
