Full house Friday!

Today I had a houseful and I loved it! :)
James organised a round of golf with his brother and dad at the golf club round the corner. As Emma was working the kids and Granny came and stayed with me. We had a visit from my nan and baby cousin Elizabeth too.

The kids were so good it made me broody all over again! They loved playing with Henry not to mention the girls always trying on all my high heels and dressing up in my charleston & Jessica rabbit dresses! I got a full fashion show whilst having girlie chats on my bed about school and who Phoebe fancied which is no one but Abigail liked to tease her :). William was super good and sat and watched the Lego movie with Granny and then played on James PS3.

Abigail wanted to help with lunch and did a super job of buttering all the bread and making Elizabeth's sarnie, overseen by granny.

Enjoying Abigail's sarnies :)

Lunch was a success! Abigail wanted to feed Henry his yogurt. She did a great job even though he was trying to grab the spoon from her. She even wiped his face afterwards :)

After lunch I suggested getting out despite the heat and the majority wanted to pop to the park except William because of his cast. He planned to stay in and carry on with the PS3 with Granny but as soon as we were heading for the door ready to go, he changed his mind and wanted to come.

It was super hot on the walk into town and although it's such a short distance it felt longer so we all stopped to buy a much needed cold drink. Granny dished out £5 for the kids and they decided they wanted to spend it. William wanted Waterstones so we headed towards there. We stopped along the way to admire the elephants dotted around the glades....

It was so so busy therefore after deciding toys r us, the music shop and waterstones were too expensive for the fivers I suggested the works! A success & tat was bought by all :)

As we were indoors we didn't realise it began to rain heavy and thunder so we had to shelter outside boots to wait for the rain to stop. James called to say they were in the pub across from the house & because my nan and Christine are not peachy keen on thunder I asked James to come and get them from boots. After James picked up William and the two nans the girls wanted to stay with me and walk, skip and hop back in the drizzle! So that we did! Elizabeth insisted on splashing in the puddles and Pheobe pushed Henry.

My mum had also turned up to say hello as she works in the area. And the guys came back from the pub... All was winding down before leaving so the kids put on a film and chilled before saying goodbye!

A fab day indeed
Xxx

I have to add as it's so funny... Henry was on his mat strumming his guitar and he's quite loud, so William came in and asked me if I could turn the TV up which I did. He then asked "can Henry do that upstairs as I can't hear the tele?" Too funny!

Aldrich Masters 2014

After an aborted attempt to get around the East Course of Sundridge Park golf club in September 2013 the Aldrich lads, Dad, James and the other one headed off at the crack of dawn back to the club to finish off the full 18.

It was a glorious day and it felt like the course was our own as we managed to get in front of all the other players on the course.  The course was in incredible condition and we all managed to play a strong round especially when taking a 2nd ball each time I hit a shot I did not like (well if you organise the round and set the other one up on the West Course at Wentworth for free you should be allowed a few concessions).

Dad was hitting his drive with mighty ferocity and the other one was taking out each tree branch along the course.

As we hit the half way house for a generous ham roll kindly supplied by the other one the black clouds slowly gathered pace.

Luckily due to the buggies we whizzed around in we made it to the 18th before the first flash of lightening.  As anyone knows holding a metal stick above your head in a lightening storm is not advisable and as such we picked up from around the green just before the horn rang to close the course.

We flew back to the car in a monsoon before heading to the pub for some grub and the other one demonstrated a remarkable ability to consume chilli cheese nachos in a Crown and Anchor record time to get our lunch for free.

Here is to the next round, Celtic Manor Oct 2014.  For that round I think I had better get some practise in.

 A beautiful day for golf!
My first ever selfie...... Aimee's influence.
Dad playing up onto the fairway from the rough.
Care in the community making sure everyone has a mode of transport.
 Course in exceptional condition.
Preparing to play the next hole.
Hard to believe this is in the middle of Bromley.

On a lighter note my guitar playing has hit the 22nd Century and I can now control all my effects via Bluetooth on the iPAD.  Whatever next??  Perhaps I will actually have to pick it up to make a sound.
