Old Macdonalds Farm

Having a relatively free day James suggested the zoo but then quickly realised operation stack has put an end to that trip! Not wanting to go to London Zoo I suggested Old Macdonalds Farm. I'd picked up lots of leaflets for days out this summer and this seemed like the only possible place that wasn't too far and the opposite direction to Op Stack!

So we headed off around 9am to Brentwood in Essex and arrive at 10.05! No traffic at all and easy all the way through the dartford tunnel which was bliss!

We were the first family there! Got a perfect parking spot and I also have a tenner off our entry with the leaflet :).

There were ample rides, soft play zones and animals to see. Henry was able to go on all the rides apart from the roller coaster thinking that would be fun we got him the £3.50 all day rides wrist band and guess what...... He ain't a fan! Rode the ponies with James and the train altogether he was super unsure and wanted to get off the whole way round...needless to say when he pointed at the carousel we just wandered on past it! He was so much happier playing with all the steering wheels he could find, sliding down the slides and just wandering around.

It's not somewhere we wpuld rush back to but it's fun for the kids and killed a few hours.... Around 12 it was much busier but not anything too overwhelming and we had all had enough so we set off home.

Henry asleep James carried him in and
Put him to bed. We got on with some gardening and house work, James played Play station and I experimented making some fruit smoothies..... Strawberry and Kiwi crush came out very well....the recipe:
Cup full of strawbs
One kiwi
Lemon juice
Cup of ice
Half a cup of water
1x tsp of suger

Delish! :)

We set the paddling pool up again for little man and all had a splash around when he woke, popped to Waitrose and picked up food for a BBQ tomorrow, had a spag bowl and settled in for the evening!

A super lovely day xx

Erm.... Is it open? First ones in!

Nice and close to the entrance and a family of Llamas!

Peeeepoooo!

Super sweet family mummy daddy and baby rabbits!

Loved these but too Small to go Round on his own and James and I's bums were too big to fit! :D

This was good fun- and getting it all to ourselves... The Blast Barn.... Foam balls and air! well you can imagine :)

More tractors!

Hated these but James really enjoyed it lol

Loved this...

Had it all to himself and usually loves a bouncy castle but wasn't fussed! Think it was just too hot.

Loved the slides...

Enjoyed the diggers.... Again looks like we are the only ones there!

At this point it was just too hot...

And lunch was a fortune for a sand which!

But James enjoyed a slushie :)
