We set off for docklands at 11 for my appointment at 12. We got there in 40mins as the Blackwell tunnel was surprisingly unjammed!
We spent 2 hours there as baby wasn't playing ball. They give you 3 attempts to get a good view of baby's face. 1st two times baby had its foot in its face and was very snuggled up to my placenta so we couldn't see its face at all. Third time was a little better. Instead of its foot it was its hand and my placenta! It's using it as a nice big squishy pillow it seems. We got what glimpse we could of babe and it was so fascinating to see. Despite it being so squashed James thinks it looks like me (I guess I must look squished! ;) I think it has James big bottom lip and thinner top lip- especially shaped like it is in this picture as his looks like this when he sleeps!
Baby no.2- we are thinking its resembling a boy but a few people have said girls.... It's so hard to tell but we love the guessing game :)
This was the 4D scan of Henry..... Looking at it now he looks like a girl even though I was adamant he was a boy and instincts were right :)
After all the excitement at the clinic we were home in time to prep Henrys dinner and get freshened up. Jack and Carly were coming over to babysit Henry for us while we had a date night. We were catching the 7.05 showing of Antman at Bluewater and planned to have some early dinner and browse around.
We settled for a Loch Fyne fish dinner and I had a browse in Smiths and bought a new book.... James looked in the Lego shop and the new cook shop there, it was lovely to mooch around at a leisurely pace! James booked the gallery as per always.... They have upgraded the free snacks which are so much better but typically couldnt eat them because of being so close post dinner!
We got home around 10ish and were super shattered. Jack and Carly had given Henry his tea, took him to the park, gave him a bath and set him down for bed all by 7.30! Thanks again guys :) xxx
