Super Saturday

Today we were up early as normal and James decided he needed a new toothbrush! So getting out for 9am we headed into toen. Henry was relatively sleepy and was quiet happy to be pushed around in his pram which was nice.

James grabbed a new fancy toothbrush while I grabbed some cheap blusher. We stopped for a costa, ice tea and caramel slice for James and headed to the library.
It was lovely and quiet until we let Henry lose.

I fancied picking up some books on toddlers development and whilst I was there grabbed a potty training one. We decided it might be worth introducing Henry to a potty and to see how it goes. No pressure. We thought that when he has an accident on the floor (usually while he's naked running around waiting for the bath to run) he comes to get us and points at the puddle and says "ooooooooh" which to us means he knows it's not right. So we thought it would be fascinating to see how much he picks up on using the potty between this time. All the information in the books are conflicting and I've asked advice from my parents but one thing I thought was interesting is "never underestimate your child's intelligence and by the time they are two years they find it more challenging to follow guidance and are not so happy to please" so who knows! Let's see how it goes :)

Love the rug!

He loved this big tiger.

James had hockey at 3 so I set off at 1 to meet my friend Jay in soft play. We haven't see each other for nearly a year so it was nice to catch up. He's really good with Henry too.

Meanwhile while Henry and I waited
For Jay, we played on the arcade games. Henry loves the steering wheel and when I popped a £1 in to play he was thrilled! It was funny as they take a picture of you to go on your profile while you race and I managed to get a snippet of the picture....

Jay came back for a cuppa tea and we managed to have a proper catch up. Hard to speak in the soft play especially on a half term Saturday! It was horrible.
James's team won 1-0 against Herne Bay and he was awarded man of the match! So he was buzzing when he came home.

Dinner of a tuna stir fry and bed! Busy super lovely day xxxx

Looking like daddy here I think xxx

The toothbrush.... Links up to Bluetooth so his phone can record and monitor his brushing progress! Technology gone mad!
