Stealing the idea slightly, from Emma's Facebook check in ;) I thought it seemed a nice idea to head to Leeds Castle instead of just the local Bromley scum park. What with mum and dad being 10mins away I invited them along too.
Henry slept from 8.15am- 11 and after a quick snack we set off. James decided to join us up for the annual ticket and as Henry is free entry till he's 4 it only cost £48. Pretty cheap considering, we thought. Henry is so eager to get out and about and this is the perfect family friendly place to let the little guy free to stretch his legs throughout the year.
It was a chilly day and the ponds/lakes were still frozen over partially but this didn't stop the wildlife making themselves well acquainted with us! Henry almost had a run in with a few black swans. The peacocks and Canadian geese just ran the other way thankgod :)
We headed for a coffee which gave us a chance to give Henry some lunch and then made a beeline for the kids area and falconry. Mum and dad couldn't go any further into the kids play area as it meant no dogs and Ruby was amoungst us so this was the chance for them to say goodbye and happy new year. We didn't want them to go but had no choice with the dog and pointless them just waiting for us.
Miss a boogie with them tonight xxxxxxxxx
They are heading down the Brighton as usual and Jack out with his mates and gf.
Henry had some time in the play park, wasn't so sure on the zip wire but got stuck into the sand pit. It was then that he got very grumpy so we decided to call it a day. It was still a long way back for him to walk so he part prammed it part walked with the ducks, back to the car.
We had a lovely afternoon and with all the lovely fresh air Henry slept for another 2 hours! We had to wake him up at 4.30 just so he wouldn't run into being too awake for a reasonable bedtime!
The best day yet.... Here's to a happy new year may it bring us all health and happiness xxxx
