Fins 1st birthday

Today we headed to Hertfordshire to my baby cousins Fins 1st birthday. Jack and Carly came over to grab a ride and we left around 12.30.  We hit the usual traffic and slow crawl up to the Dartford Crossing and it ended up taking us an hour and half to get there just because of this. We sped back in 50mins on the way home.....typical!

Becca and Matt had hired out a cosy little village hall in Welwyn for the occasion and it was a little bit smaller than they had anticipated. Lucky enough though as these village halls can be cold. Was lovely a toasty instead! They had hired a lady whom provides vintage tea sets, real china tea pots, makes little sandwiches and cakes. I got speaking to her and its her own business but she takes up the bulk of the work. For Fins birthday with a headcount of 45 she ended up buttering 90 slices of bread and making 6 different cakes! Needless to say she hates the sight of sandwiches! No kidding!!
The kids got little goodie boxes with treats and toys. There was a small play area set up for the kids and plenty of tables and chairs for the adults.

Henry wasted no time getting involved and was getting around and chatting to people with no worries. He's becoming so confident and we are so very proud of him. Fin was as gorgeous as ever. He's begun to take his first steps and it was very exciting to see him and Henry interact (I got some great video of them and will try and upload to here).

It was lovely to catchup with some family I haven't seen for a while and some of my Uncles friends whom have children too. Was lovely to see them all again and hoping to squeeze in one more squidge with Fin before they travel back to Oman.

I didn't get many pictures this time mostly video but heres my Dad with his nephew Finlay Evan xx
