Fun at the Firestation

Today was supposed to be  my 4D scan but unfortunately they had to cancel as the sonographer had to go home sick. We were really excited about it and as I didn't look at my phone whilst we were driving, we didn't get the info until we were in Docklands. Rearranging for two weeks time, James and I headed off to the o2 in search of a late lunch. We thought we would make the most of the time as Mum had offered to take Henry for the day so we could concentrate on the scan. When we got home we popped into town to have a look at some new glasses for James. He had an eye test the day before and despite nothing changing in 20 years, they recommended he have some glasses which help protect against the amount of time he spends staring at the screen. It was fun having him try on all the glasses and we ended up spending almost 40mins faffing around! We popped to get some essentials and I took advantage of being able to stand in a book shop at my own leisure :-).

Mum had taken Henry up to see Dad at work. Apparently he was a little scared of the fire engines at first but soon got excited about them when he saw grandad jumping in and out of them! Henry had ice cream in the mess and had a play around in the gym, not to mention jumping up and down on granddads bed and then hiding in his locker! Leaving dad to go put out a fire somewhere, Mum then took him off to aunties for dinner and more playing.....

When mum bought him home he was sound asleep in the car and James helped carry him in up to bed before popping out to the pub with his hockey gang.
