Sealife Centre

Success! We were all well and excited for our little family day out. We headed to Brighton for the SeaLife Centre as we thought Henry would love the fish.

Awake at 5am and all set to leave in time for Henrys nap at 9am, we made it down in good time. It only took about an hours drive. We drove straight through the centre of Brighton and managed to grab a parking spot along the side of the road. Took a while to pay for parking as James had to download the app on his phone to then access the opportunity to either pay for 4 hours (which he didn't think would be enough) or 11 hours!! So 11 it was for £15!!

Laughing the fortune for parking off, we headed into the Sealife Centre. Loving my bargains/coupons I'd cut an adult goes free voucher from the cereal box last week and kept it in my purse! With Henry under 3 getting in for free we only paid for one adult! Yay!! Bargains. So I treated us to the glass bottom boat :D (hehe).

Henry was in awe, as was I! He loved pointing at the fish and he says fish really well now.... It was busy with forgein students (who clump around in groups and are just generally in the way at every turn plus just enjoy obstructing your view while your clearly standing there looking at a turtle! Huff- rant over :) but at least Henry had plenty of space to dash around. He  particularly enjoyed the turtle enclosure where little ones could pop there heads into the glass domes to get a closer view. He nestled in there nicely for some time until James had to drag him out because he thought he'd have a taster of the bark on the floor......!

At the start of the tour....

Checking out this dude....

Eeek!

I found my favourite sea creature.....The King Crab.... Massive! And yet really fascinating... James says they are nice to eat! :/

Checking out more fish...
Loving the sting rays

Getting up close with the poisonous  sting rays

Our glass boat ride was booked for 11.40. After the little ride which was informative but disappointing as it literally went from one side of the pool to the other (Henry enjoyed it), we headed towards to exit and ended up through the glass tunnel. It was much better than the boat as you could see so much more! There were sharks and gigantic turtles! They were beautiful!!

Huge!!
A shark!!
Off she goes!

After finishing up in the Sealife Centre we went to Harry Ramsdens for lunch. Henry was really good and it was delicious! Just what we needed. After we headed for a walk along the pier. Henry was getting a bit tired and we had to shelter in the arcades to avoid the hail stones!! But wrapped up we headed back to the car. There wasn't much else to do and we thought it would be a good idea to get home before the road rush!
Started out as a lovely day....

Before the rain came.....
