Swimming, Scrumping & BBQ'ing

Our pickings for the day :)  

After a mixed night of Henry up at 2.55 for a cuddle and then 4.20 for a bottle and sleep/cuddle with James and I at 6.45 he woke and we kicked the day off with a swim but this time Henry got to have a dip with nanny and grandad too. 

(Failed to mention that this house is pitch black in the night so when I got up at 2.55 I walked into a wall and then at 4.20 when James got up to get Henry a bottle he walked into the wall light!!.... Doh!)

Henry soon got worn out from the swim and went for a nap. Meanwhile the adults got washed and dressed and off scrumping in the garden. 

There are 7 apple trees, 2 plum, 1 pear and rhubarb plant that we can help ourselves too. So as the baby monitor didn't stretch that far and James wanted to lay on the grass, mum, dad and I went off to pick some fruit for a Sunday crumble. The apples are huge! Never seen any as big.....absolutely scrumptious!

When Henry woke he had a snack and really enjoys the plums! They are deliciously sweet and we were eating them straight off the tree :)

We strapped Henry to daddy and went for a walk into the field that's part of the land here. It usually has sheep but the farmer has taken them off. Dad and I found a blackberry bush so we scrumped some berries to chuck into the crumble :)

We also popped to the local swings which is just across the road...

When we got back Henry was a bit grumpy for another sleep and mum and dad decided to stop for one more night which was exciting, so to stock up on some BBQ grub mum and dad offered to take Henry for a drive to the Tesco so he could snooze in the car. While they were gone James and I got some time so we popped for a swim and I baked in the sauna for a bit. 

When they got back dad and James cracked open the beers and set up the croquet. Henry enjoyed getting involved and we had some play time on the grass.  Dad and James went to play tennis while mum and I gave Henry his dinner then we swapped! We had such a laugh I nearly wet myself!! Hehe :) 

Dad and I gave Henry a bath and we set ourselves up in the barn for dinner. James cooked up a grand BBQ as always and we settled down to a film after. Henry was getting tired and I wasn't comfortable leaving him in the house to sleep alone nor did mum, so we sat and watched X-factor and left the boys to it!
