Coffee croissants cards and pressies later, we got ready for viewing 3 houses and then Glamping at Leeds Castle :).
After dropping Henry to my mums post 1st house viewing we set off for the other two. Only liking one it's still early days and lots to consider.... After 3.5hours of looking around other people's places we were starved and popped into the pub for lunch. Finishing just in time to check in for Glamping we set off down Broomfield Road which is a back entrance to Leeds Castle. It felt like we were VIPs being able to drive so close to the castle.
Checking in we were guided down to the site which is just adjacent to the kids playground.
The site consists of 8 tents all set up the same. The toilet facilities were located in the cottage which was at the top of the hill. There were 3 very not your basic camping ensuites and a kitchen to store your food, fill up flasks and hot water bottles. There was 24hr access to all the facilities, a large garden with footballs, garden games and a wood shed which is all for your leisure.
Surprisingly comphy bed!
After going to check out the inside of the castle and finding where the birds live, we settled in and had a drink in the warmth of the sun!
Not hungry because of the big lunch in th pub we decided to "for the hell of it@ cook some hot dogs and corn on the cobs (after all I bought a ten ton of food!)
Before we left to cook we lit the fire in the tent to warm it up a bit for the evening.....
James eventually let me have a go! :)
Heading back to the tent after using the bathrooms we stayed fully clothed with dressing gowns and got under a double duvet with 2 extra fur blankets!... Still cold lol....
Come morning we raced up to the bathroom and had hot showers! Warming us up we warmed up some croissants and ate as the sun beamed on us which was lovely! Checking out at 10am we headed for a browse around the shops before catching the 12.30 showing of Avengers: Age of Ultron (in Eureka Park...just down the road from Eastwell :-) One last request from James for his birthday.
Luckily dad was home to have Henry and it sounded like they had lots of fun.... Ice cream and cookies and a new Spider-Man wet suit later, Henry was a happy boy and one exhausted grandad having to go onto a night shift! :)
