Yesterday we were up early as always and set off for Broadstairs at 9.30! We arrived a little after 10.30 and realised it's the earliest we have ever got down to see Christine & Trevor! Which is great as it means we had more time to spend.
Firstly as always was unloading the heaps we had packed and mostly all for one small person! We really need a better packing system and I mean one big suit case, the only hinderence is our boot only has capacity for the pram and the travel cot with a few small bags on top! Roll on James new car in September.....
After granny helped Henry have some lunch and we had a lovely lunch made by Trevor, James, Henry and I set out for a good walk. We were all set to take H down to the beach for his first time but he was a tad grumpy as he was brewing a snooze. We got as many pics as we could with his feet in the sand. He didn't seem to mind one bit and he enjoyed watching the sea.
It appeared to be Dickens week so we had a good mosey around the tents (selling their usual tat as always) and watched Dane Court Grammer Kids playing in the band on the bandstand.
Henry also got his first bit of seaside plastic! Kept him amused for all of ten mins :)
The weather was lovely! As always per tradish I had a good old nosey around Arrowsmiths and at 2.30 we met Christine and Trevor for a Morellis!
Dinner time and bath time for H soon came round and we were lucky as from all the fresh sea air he was pooped! He went down at 6.30 which meant we got some adult time sitting down to Christines lovely lasagne!
To take advantage of granny and grandpas babysitting, James and I set off for a few drinks down at the Tartar Frigate and Charles Dickens... The evening sun was beautiful, a tad windy but lovely to spend a few hours together
Thankyou granny & grandpa! X
Next day we were up at 5.30 and out by 8.45 for a walk up to Dumpton and back in the rain!! It was refreshing but we got rather a tad soaked!
When we got back we dried off, fed Henry a snack and chilled a bit before heading out for lunch at Prezzo! I have a tastecard now & recommended we go for the bargain! And it was a bargain indeed!!
After stuffing ourselves full we went out for more of a walk and lucky for us the sun came shining out! We walked down to the promenade where James and Trevor we teasing the waves to see if they could get wet and Henry had another go in the sand ( or more like James was determined for Henry to be on the beach!)
After battling the long walk up the hill we made it home to a much needed sit down! James went for a snooze because the early morning had hit him and I made tea and we had a bit of cake :)
After packing up our heaps of stuff we set back off home (my turn to nod off for the hour drive back! And I did! Sparko)
A perfect time at Granny & Grandpas! Xxx
