Herne Bay & Broadstairs

James had a hockey game in Herne Bay which worked out well as we planned to stay with Christine and Trevor this weekend.

The weather was awful, super cold and extremely windy! Henry was due some lunch so while James set off to meet his team and warm up, we stayed put in the warmth of the car. I gave Henry his lunch, then we messed about a bit, especially with the steering wheel and buttons! James' game started at 1.30, so, wrapped up warm and snug (and thats after many attempts to distract Henry from taking his wooly hat off), we set off! It was biting cold and I ended up in and out of the car and the leisure centre, all to keep Henry warm. It was really cold and he doesn't tolerate sitting in the pram for very long so as long as I was moving him around he was relatively ok. After 2 hours James team won 4-2. Yay! A happy husband and a miserable baby. Cant have it all!

James didn't stick around so we drove straight off to Broadstairs. Christine had made a lovely shepards/cottage pie (t'was a debate as per Aldrich dinner tradition). It was delicious! We settled into a nice routine, bathing Henry and getting our pjs on. We sat down to watch a movie called "The grand Budapest Hotel" which no one seemed to be very impressed with. Me so much I nodded off and this was at 8pm! James and I headed up to be and was asleep by about 8.30pm! We had been up since 5.30am and were shattered!

A long yet lovely day x

Wrapped up snug as a bug! Gloves are a work in progress.....!

Rambo.... ready to kick some hockey ass!
 In action....
I swear as soon as James steps into his mum and dads house he turns into a teenager again!! Double dinners, always reading the newspaper, spending ages on the toilet and pulling silly faces! Arrrhhhh :-)
