Sadly my great auntie Jose passed away on Novemeber 4th in Spain, where she had moved to live to be near her sons. After a nasty fall and a trip to the hospital she found out she had stomach cancer and it was only a matter of time before it got palliative. You may remember Jose from my wedding she was my nanny Vees sister and they were like two peas in a pod :) I wasn't close to her but we exhanged letters and she always sent me £20 in my birthday card ever since I was little! So I went along with my parents and Jake to pay my respects at a church in Chislehurst adjacent to my secondary school and where Auntie Jose husband is buried. It was a lovely service.
While we were at the funeral James took Henry to party no.1, Lucs in Beckenham soft play. It started at 9.45 and the funeral stated at 10.30 so it was the only way we could work it.
After I got home and Henry had woken up from his nap it just a matter of an hour that I took on party duty no.2. Jake stayed home with dad and James and my mum and I took Henry to Greenwich for a Circus themed party!
He played games, danced and won parce the Parcel, kept going back for fairy cakes with smarties on top and had his first lolly sweet! He came home with a lovely party bag gift of a puzzle and even Jake got a little wooden toy!
After we got Henry to bed, mum and dad left and James cooked up a lovely crab macaroni- light and lovely and engrossed in catching up on the days shenanigans we consumed a whole bottle of red, sitting at the dinner table with Jakey fast asleep in his rocker. Happy days! :)
