Cowboy Builders

James wanted a nice patio area for Henry to play on so I suggested he try and re-lay it himself.
We got a guy in for a quote but was costing way too much! So this gave James the kick to get started himself!
With some advice from my dad and a brick laying book from Trevor, not to mention all the you tubing on brick laying and concrete mixing, James got to work!

He had made a great start to it and was just waiting on some help from his dad.

Today Trevor came up to help out with some concreting and brick cutting. James was up early and off to HSS to pick up the stone cutter ready to set to work! After Trevor arrived and had tea and toast they got started!

Meanwhile I went for a long walk with Henry and to pick up some dinner for tonight. When I got back I made the work ers lunch. They admitted it was getting difficult as the stone cutter wasn't quite what they were expecting and James had decided he would ask my dad if he could borrow his angle grinder... Eeekkkk!

So a few hours later dad popped up with his tools and some advice..... Apparently as the angle grinder doesn't have an off switch he suggested James lay out all the bricks which need cutting and I standby near the power switch and be ready for James to shout "Turn it off!!".... Great!! Il have to make sure Henry is having an afternoon sleep so I can fully concentrate on making sure James doesn't cut a limb off!!

Hopefully all will be finished by next week :)

The cowboys at work!

Dad to the rescue!

Eeeekkk......!!
