The kids were super excited to see Henry and after arriving and changing his bot I handed him over for some play time.

They popped Henry onto their new giant trampoline for his first ever bounce! He loved it and the kids were super gentle doing tiny jumps to give him the bouncing sensation.

After having a lovely BBQ of pulled pork buns, mojita chicken, salad and Emma's homemade coleslaw the gang set up a game of cricket.

Meanwhile Henry was getting a little tired for a nap so while I settled him down the gang began to play.....

As I came down to have what I thought maybe a sit in the sun the clouds came over and the heavens opened! It chucked it down so that could only mean one thing! Time for bday cake and tea :) A tad overcast!
Emma got a recipe from the BBC Good Food magazine for Nicks bday cake and it turned out absolutely delicious! It was a sponge cake with raspberries & caramel with a cream cheese icing on the outside, plus some other lovely ingredients but I can't for the life of me remember now. All I know is that we were kindly given a takeaway tub with a nice big slice in for devouring in the next day or two. Thanks guys!

After tea cake and tele, the rain had stopped so the troops resumed their cricket game.

Meanwhile Emma and I slowly woke up the sleeping beauty and spent some time with him smiling away. He got some more play time with his cousins before we left..... Watching Monsters University together....He loved it!
