24hours Baby free

So this weekend we arranged with my parents to look after Henry overnight. Of course it wasn't a problem they were having withdrawals from not having him over night anyway! :)

Mum and dad went to a Robbie Williams concert up at the O2 Friday night and stayed over so we didn't have to drive down to drop Henry off. While we were all sitting having coffee our next door neighbour knocked to offer us free tickets to the Hampton Court flower show. So nice of him and of course we took them.

So instead of just wandering up to London and bumbling around we decided to go up to Hampton Court for the fun of it! When we got there we took the ferry trip over the Thames to get across to the entrance. It was only a 5min boat ride but was something different and saved our feet :)

The entrance

When we got there we dived straight for the food stalls as we were staving and grabbed a chicken burger and drink for the bargain price of £20!! What a rip off!

It was jammed packed and covered huge ground. There were some beautiful displays and although it wasn't really our thing it was something different.... Some of the displays were based on the 7 deadly sins and here's just a few of what I managed to snap....

Gluttony

Lust

The flower tent was lovely with lots of different flowers to buy and displays to look at....

Lillies!

I loved this display it reminded me a bit of my wedding bouquet. It was filled with apples... Also had orange peppers in which was cool

The pond that ran through the grounds was massive and had a great huge flower in the middle which was filled with cranberrys. It was an advert for cranberry ocean spray drink.

A lot of the displays were based on wild flowers....

There were lots of other stalls with very comphy and extremely expensive garden furniture but we barely got a look in as it was packed full of people! We managed to spot our neighbours stall but he wasn't on it. His stuff is pretty good and is based on a "Secret Garden". He makes old rusty looking arches and gates made of wrought iron. An archway he made was selling for £800!

It turned out to be a scorcher of a day and what with it being ridiculously busy we left after about 2hours and headed back towards London Bridge.

James decided we were to go to the bar in the Shard and cool off with some drinks.... A couple lead to a few lead to 12 drinks between us! It was busy but we managed to grab a seat at the bar got comphy was engrossed in conversation and had the bar tender looking after us!

The view from the ladies toilets... 32 floors up....!! I could see crystal palace!

The view you get as you walk from the lift into the bar... Tis a long way down!

Needless to say we were a little worse for wear after our sherberts and also very hungry so we staggered back to Petts Wood to a curry house James recommended. We made a call and booked a table for 9pm. Had a lovely dins contemplated waking back but our tummys were against it so after a walk in the fresh air (to help our heads) we grabbed a cab home and crashed!

We woke at 9am next day and haven't woken up then for what seems like forever! After both going for a run to clear our heads we done a bit of house tidying/cleaning, made breakfast and headed down to get little man. He was thoroughly spoilt at nanny and grandads they bought him a walker  and some instruments to have at their house and a new mattress for his travel cot (our fault we forgot to pack them our one!) They also made him some very lovely food up and he feasted on salmon, veggies and a little roast chicken dinner. He slept really well from 7.30 till 6.30! Typical! If only he would do it for mummy and daddy :)

A very lovely weekend indeed! Thanks again ma and pa! Xxx
