After getting back from our hols Friday and having the evening at home, we were soon packing up and driving off again to stay with Christine and Trevor for the weekend. We arrived early and had lunch then set off for a walk. We pottered around the usual shops and I had a mosey around my favourite shop there called Arrowsmiths.
Christine was going to make a dinner but I suggested she rest and we pop out instead. So we opted for the Harvester. Bit of a bad choice seen as though it was a saturday at 5 and packed. Not to mention loud! So we ate up and headed home wishing we had let Christine cook! :-)
Henry hadn't slept all day despite trying to knock him out with some fresh seaside air. He fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep from car to cot and was down by 7pm. Shattered, we got our comphies on and chilled. Id bought the card game Uno to play so we set up for a game. It was hilarious! Trevor kept losing as Christine was making him pick up for 4 cards all the time and James spent the whole game trying to guess my cards even though I won most the rounds. I was in fits of giggles and we played about 4 rounds. Ive left the pack down for a game next time.
We headed to bed around 9.30 and James just finished saying "I hope Henry sleeps" when he woke with a scream. We've never heard him cry like this before and it went on for a while. He was still asleep while he was crying and we googled what he could be. Turns out he was having a night terror. It was really awful to hear and there was nothing we could do. He stopped after about 10mins or so and stayed asleep. He didn't wake till 6am. Bless him! He was non the wiser next day and he was his old happy self.
Turns out night terrors can be caused by sleep deprivation or a rush in a babes development. So we are putting it down to the lack of afternoon snoozing.
