Helping hands....

Today we visited Christine and Trevor to help out where we could. We haven't seen them for a while and after Christine's trip back to the ward we were glad to see her home and resting. She looked well, managed to eat some lunch and took a rest when she needed.

I lent a hand and wrapped all of Trevor's xmas presents for her too. Despite James wanting to prepare some meals for the freezer (sherpards pie etc) his persistence got him nowhere so he settled with preparing a lunch of cooked chicken, roasts and peas. Yum!

Henry was great and played all afternoon destroying most of the front room but being very good with avoiding the tree....just!

Playing with Grandpa....

After lunch we took a stroll out to the pier for a bit of fresh air. Henry really enjoys walking and insists on walking everywhere, as soon as he's out the pram its difficult to get him back in. Luckily it wasn't busy as it was very windy and cold, so he had free rein of Broadstairs. We wandered through the arcade and met the cats in the sensory garden. Henry made a new friend! He was a lot more tolerant than our cats at home.

Walking everywhere....

After a mince pie, cuppa tea, and piecing back the front room, we headed home.

A lovely windy day. Fingers crossed for Christine being stronger for Boxing Day.
