Badgers Hill Farm

Today we popped down to spend some time with mum. I stopped for a quick essential top up at Aldi then hit the M20 which was just behind the supermarket. Not thinking anything of it, I reached a certain point of the motorway and realised I was getting slowed up in operation stack!  Luckily I think I missed the worst of it as the traffic was moving but very slowly. And thankgod I had a fair share of snacks to supply Henry with. He was SO good and despite the odd cry out of boredom he was so much better dealing with the traffic than I anticipated!
Needless to say we got there in after being in the traffic for around 45mins

Not wanting to waste a lovely day indoors, Mum suggested Badgers Hill farm in Chilham. It's just opposite the road from where James and I got married.  It's a small old cider farm, brewing and selling its own cider along with a few farm animals, free range chickens, a lovely tea shop, a garden ornament shop and a kids play area! A nice little mix match of things to do.

We had some lunch and set off to wander around. Henry enjoyed the play area and looking at the pigs. He found them funny as they came up to the fence to see him :)

Being another scorcher of a day we are only there a few hours then set off home to shelter from the sun at mum and dads...although chance would be a fine thing! Mum and dad have a big fish pond and Henry loves feeding them.... He also likes playing catch with Ruby and running around in their lovely open garden. So after another stint in the sun we headed home around 4........

A very lovely day indeed :)

The pigs/goats and horses....

All open and not busy at all!

Chickens just minding their own buisness . They are such characters and had us giggling....

Although Henry wasn't 100% sure of them especially when the cockerel sounded the alarm!

Lovely big green house where you could have lunch....

Lots of odd bits and bobs for sale....
Or for Ornamental purposes we couldn't be sure....

 He Loved these statues...

Chilling in the cool....

And the latest on mum and dads
Extension..... Kitchen still partly packaged

The wall belonging to a massive 75" + (or something silly like that) TV that Jamss is trying to persuade dad to buy  ;)
