Engagement Dinner

After working 8-12.30 today and James wearing Henry out in the park, we all got bathed and ready for Jack and Carly's engagement dinner. It was a nice opportunity to meet the family and for the parents to meet each other!

Table booked for 3.30 at the Malt Inn in Sandling we headed off around 2.50ish giving Henry a nice, well needed nap.

When we got there my brother greeted us at the door and warned us he had already had 4 double gins as he was really nervous! So he was well and truely baked making us smile! Bless him he really was nervous about the whole thing...he's going to be even worse on his wedding day!!

That aside we had an okish meal but lovely company..... Carly's sister April adored Henry and as always Henry was mega hyper being amungst the attention and had us all taking it in turns to go out to the dock to see the boats!

(When I say okish meal I mean me in stitches at James dinner.... They served him a burger and chips but it looked like someone had already been nibbling at his chips!

He wanted me to take a picture so he can show his colleagues at Whitbread! :D

For pudding, Carly's mum had bought them a cake with their picture on and Jack bought the table two bottles of champagne for a toast.

Dad got the best bit.....

After saying our goodbyes, he headed back to stay with mum and dad for the
Night. Jack and Carly had booked into the hotel village to carry on enjoying their celebrations.

When we got back, being a lovely evening, perfect for a stroll and also an incentive to wear Henry out a bit more,  we headed over to the  neighbours. They have some pigs in their garden so we decided to take a little stroll up to feed them. Dad and Henry got busy picking up some apples from mum and dads garden and loading a bucket full.

These pigs were huge and very excitable especially when they knew they were getting apples so keeping Henry at a safe distance dad let him throw the apples from sitting on his shoulders.

The field just adjacent to mum and dads house is part public walk way part someone's land! It's currently up for sale and extremely lovely..... But waiting a few years for a house to be knocked down and re- built (unless we win the Lottery) would be too long!

This view everyday! Wonderful

Mum at the middle of the hill.... The house is just to the left of this picture and behind trees....

This is also part of the houses' land.

Henry being a bull in the china shop charging around at a million miles an
Hour fell in some nettles! Bless him he rubbed his shins a few times but that was our que to head back home.

Henry didn't get to sleep as easily as usually as I think he was over stimulated. Kindly mum and dad offered their bed up for us to get a nights sleep and woke up
With Henry at 4.30am! I was feeling very tired and sick from my late night (such a granny!) and early morning powering through work that getting that sleep super helped! So thanks again ma and pa!

A very lovely busy few days had! XXXX
