Fire Pits

Another early morning but a 5am one today. We pottered as always and then set off for a morning swim at 8.15ish.

Henry enjoyed it until the waves started. He and I both got splashed  in the face and that put him right off. It was kind of game over then- he got really grumpy and we knew his teeth are being a bug bear at the moment (has his top canines coming through) so I gave him some granules (that do Nothing but it's all I had) still didn't work so shower and out. Think we were in the pool for all of 15/20mins!

Henry was really really over tired and whingy all the while I dressed him a took ages to settle- he'd started a temperature so I gave him some Calpol and rocked him to sleep when we got home .James cleaned his car and I pottered, getting ingredients out to bake brownies and taking some sit down time.
Henry slept for almost over 2 hours and was so much better for it!

Once Henry woke we walked into town and grabbed some lunch in Joes Kitchen. Henry hardly ate anything but was still his happy self. We bought up some bits and topped up the teething gel supplies and headed home.

In joes just before he started with his temperature.....

On the way back Henry got super cuddly with Jamss and while James carried him back he laid his head on his shoulder and looked very tired- that's when I noticed he had a temperature again his head was burning but his arms and legs were cool. Once home we sat with him on the couch for a bit and let him watch his programmes, stripping his top off to cool down, his temp was 100.9F which isn't bad but higher than usual. Calpol again and popped him to bed- he went off after a while and slept from 2.20-4.30 when James went in to wake him. Meanwhile James and I had a much needed snooze! By this time of the day we feel like we've been awake for two days!

For the rest of the afternoon Henry was his happy self and with a gorgeous warm evening he spent most of the time nude! :) potting training is underway ish!

With Henry in bed James made up the fire pit and we spent the rest of the evening outdoors reading and chatting.

Perfect xx
