He's getting so clever at identifying things now, when we are in the car and a police car or ambulance goes past with their sirens flashing, Henry always say "gandads ne nor". With dad giving us the thumbs up we popped over about 3.
Henry was in awe and a little overwhelmed at first but was savvy to where the chocolate was kept. He must have such a sharp memory as he was only at the station with my mum a few months back and was able to lead my dad to the mess! :-)
The whole team were really good with Henry and he soon grew very confident exploring! We even got to see my Dad go out on a shout which was super exciting. Its not like Fireman Sam where the bell goes off unfortunately just a calm boring womans voice calling out their number and asking them to "assemble" (not as glam as the Avengers :-) So standing aside we said a quick goodbye to Dad and watched him and his crew change their boots at the side of the engine and jump aboard! Dad in the front talking into a tannoy letting the 999 caller they were on their way!
he found a hole full of sand!......small things. |
