Henry loved the train ride up and got very excited when it shook so it made him a little off balance! We managed to get the "toilet" section which was empty so we could spread out.
Once we got to Victoria we walked to Knightsbridge, passed the Queens house and through Green Park. Both the boys were asleep so we had a nice easy stroll.
Once at Harrods, we had some time to spare so thought we'd feed and water the boys before setting off for our slot at The Grotto. After some navigation around the shop (it's like a maze!) we opted for the easiest option of ice cream. We sat and shared a milkshake all before Henry decided he wanted to go for a wander round.
Once we found the Grotto which was located in the Disney store, we queued up to get our photo wrist band and sign in. There was some waiting to do and some very stressed out families surrounding us (whingy kids and moaning grandparents) but we managed to keep
our cool and keep Henry entertained with the Xmas displays.
Before meeting Father Xmas, there were
some photo opportunities and games to play whilst queuing. Henry wasn't so sure at first but like everything when it was time to move on he was very confident!
When the time came to meet father Xmas we were led into a room. There were about 5/6 other rooms full
Of father Xmas too. Henry was encouraged to knock on the door and when he walked in he turned round and walked straight back out. With encouragement from daddy, Henry went straight back in :)!
Father Xmas was impressed with how polite Henry was and he even shook his hand! Henry was so cute and did so well meeting Father Xmas. He didn't cry one bit! He had a little chat with him and then it was picture time. Henry then got his present and so did Jake. A really sweet bag with "age appropriate" toy (so much so even Father Xmas said it was probably too Young for Henry) badge and large gold coin.
We then spent an age getting out of the maze and back home (mind you we did faff about in the baby change for a while,
Feeding Jake and changing nappies lol)
Once back in Bromley we grabbed a McDonald's on way home- it was a great day after all :)
Jake was such a good boy all day and he was easy going sleeping mainly :) and so was Henry on a toddler scale! Despite them both well mainly Jake now having a rotton cough and cold!
Mummy and daddy, well, we are shattered and very much deserve a large G&T! A lovely day and memory for us.
