Folk week Friday...

Friday afternoon we popped down to spend the night with granny and grandpa. We arrived around 5ish as James had some work to do at home before we could leave.

When we arrived we did our usual of unpack and set up Henry's travel cot so we could begin to enjoy the evening. Christine had made a lovely roast lunch so before tucking in we fed lil man and set him up at the table to nibble some of my Yorkshire pud which he loved!

Jamming with grandpa. He loves his guitar and can't go anywhere without it!

We the spent the evening waiting for Henry to fall asleep which was a tad agonising as he wouldn't go down and in the end we had to let him cry himself off to sleep which was heart wrenching. But at 8.30 he evetuallu went down and James and I headed out for a walk. The whole of broadstairs was packed with people ready to start the evening and 99.9% of them with an alcoholic beverage of some sort in their hand. It was also full of very young people making me feel slightly old and wanting some peace and quiet! Ha!

We played a few games in the arcade grabbed an nice cream and wondered down to stone bay.... There were groups of people drinking all over so we headed back and sought shelter in the private and calm of Christine and Trevor's backyard where we sipped wine under the candlelight.
